Young writers from UCAN have work published in latest edition of The Poetry Games - 28/09/2018

Three young writers from the University of Chester Academy Northwich (UCAN) have had their poems published in the latest anthology of The Poetry Games.

The Poetry Games is an anthology which inspires young authors from across Cheshire and Merseyside to write for what they believe in.

The young poets include students James Dexter (14), Liberty Hulse (12) and Ambrin Brown (12) who each wrote their own inspiring poem filled with passion, expression and, most importantly, their opinion on the subjects that matter most to them.

Young minds often have a very different way of looking at the world, and this anthology explores their deepest thoughts and feelings with a fascinating glimpse into what it is like to be part of their generation.

Crime and Punishment, Women’s Equality and The Bully were all important and topical themes which the students chose to write about. Each poem is full of creativity, technique and skill, tackling a variety of poetic styles, resulting collection is a diverse and imaginative as the individuals themselves.

This is a truly inspiring anthology, an excellent keepsake to enjoy time and time again.
