UCAN welcomes over 350 pupils to compete in the Sports Hall Athletics Tournament - 01/02/2018

Over two-days the University of Chester Academy Northwich (UCAN) has welcomed over 350 pupils to compete in the Sports Hall Athletics Competition.

This January, pupils from Years 3 to 6 from UCAN’s partner primary schools were given the opportunity to compete in the tournament.

Year 9 sports leaders were joined by pupils from Lostock Gralam Primary, Wincham Community Primary, Victoria Road Community Primary, Rudheath Primary Academy and Witton Church Walk Primary School.

Pupils strived to win first place in a number of athletic events such as the relay race, obstacle races, javelin, chest push, long jump and the speed bounce. The event aimed to give pupils from UCAN’s partner primary schools an opportunity to compete at sports hall athletics and get active.
